Abstract
This research was carried in 1993 and1994, in order to determine the nutritional status of the orchards established with S.Delicious apple cultivar in Erzincan plain. In this research, 20 apple orchards was selected and soil and leaf samples taken from the orchards in August. According to the analysis, at the experimental site's soils, pH ranged from 7.38 to 7.95, lime ranged from 0.89 to 13.05%; organic matter 0.24 to 3.07%; P ranged from 1.1 to 25.00 ppm; K ranged from 61 to 731 ppm; Zn ranged from 1.2 to 3.6 ppm and Mn ranged from 3.9-15.0 ppm. The soils generally were suitable for apple production in terms of texture. However, most of soils were in sufficient in terms of organic matter, P and Mn. On the other hand, N and especially Zn and Mn were found not to be adequate in the leaf samples.
