All of our journals are diamond open access*; authors are not charged any fees for publication.
*Diamond open access refers to a scholarly publication model in which journals and platforms are free for authors and readers.

How long does it take for a manuscript to be published?

This period may vary depending on the evaluation period of the reviewers and the response time to their revision requests.

When is the DOI number given?

After the manuscript is published on the website, the DOI number is given and becomes active.

What is the publication process for manuscripts that are chosen for publication?

After the final language review is completed, the manuscripts are typeset and sent to the author for galley proof. Among the completed manuscripts, the manuscripts selected for the issue by the Editor-in-Chief are published. In which journal issue your manuscript will be published is determined by the Editor-in-Chief.

What should be the maximum similarity rate in the manuscripts?

This is covered in the "Information for Authors" section of the relevant journal. This rate is expected not to exceed 25%. The final decision on this issue is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Which similarity program is used and should the author upload the similarity report to the system?

“iThenticate” is used as the similarity program in our journals. The similarity check is done automatically in Editorial Manager; the authors are not expected to upload a similarity report.

Is it possible to make edits to a manuscript that has undergone the evaluation process, such as adding or removing authors or altering the order in which they appear?

Such a change is not approved by the Editorial Office after the peer-review process of the manuscript has started.

Is ethics committee approval required for all research manuscripts?

When reporting experiments with human subjects, authors should indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation. For manuscripts reporting medical studies involving human participants, authors are required to provide a statement identifying the ethics committee that approved the study and confirming that the study conforms to recognized standards, for example:

  1. Declaration of Helsinki
  2. US Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects
  3. European Medicines Agency Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice
Where animals are used in research we expect them to have been treated in a humane manner and complying with the ARRIVE guidelines and the Consensus Author Guidelines For Animal Use developed by the International Association of Veterinary Editors.
