Abstract
Pheromone trials for biochemical control of the striped ambrosia beetle. Trypodendron Iİneatum (Olivier). were conducted on a Iimited area of Eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey. Plastic funnel traps with Linoprax pheromone dispenser were used in the control of striped ambrosia beetle. Ikizdere/Tron-Rize forest storage yard was chosen as experimental area. Beetles collected weekly and captured insects were determined by species and their sex in the Iaboratory. 2536 striped ambrosia beetles were captured. Sex ratio was 69 male /42 female. Most of the other trapped irısects were noxious species.
