Abstract
This research was carried out for three years between 1991 and 1993 in Kahramanmaras ecological conditions. The aim of this study was to determine of yield and yield components of seventeen hybrid oil sunflower varieties. According to the results of three years experiments, the data obtained on certain characters of the sunflower varieties have shown the following range; plant height 155,14-123,49 cm., number of leaves 25-30, head diameter 18,28, 21,19 cm., dehulled seed ratio/hulled seed weight 72,53 - 77,19 %, 1000-seed weight 54,34 - 74,53 g., seed yield per decar 338,15-396,04 kg., oil content 43,75 - 46, 98 %, and oild yield per decar 151,63-186,43 kg. These results of the experiment have showed that Sunbred-277 and P-6480 for seed yield per decar (396,04 kg/da., 391,17 kg/da. respectively), and Sunbrad-277 for oil content (46,98 %) and oil yield per decar (186,43 kg/da.) were concluded to the best varieties to ecological conditions of Kahramanmaras.
