Abstract
Çukurova 1518 which is the standart cultivar of Antalya region and Tashkent 1 cultivar were tested at nine different plant densities for two years. In the study, number of boll/unit area, number of boll per plant, number of seed per boll, seed cotton yield per boll, number of locule per boll, lint yield per seed, lint yield per boll and lint yield/unit area as agronomic characters and lint percentage, seed index, micronaire, fiber lengtht, % 2.5 and % 50 fibrograph values and number of fiber per seed as fiber and seed characters were observed. The effects of plant density on number of boll/unit area, number of boll per plant, seed cotton yield per boll, lint yield per seed, lint yield per boll, lint percentage, seed index and % 50 fibrograph value was found significant.
