Water Distribution and Water-Use Efficiencies in Konya-Çumra Irrigation Project

Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to determine the method of water distribution and water use efficiencies of the irrigation projects. The service areas of the main canal 1 of The Konya-Cumra Irrigation Project were selected for monitoring and evaluation. The physical, agricultural, management and economic performances of the scheme were investigated under the headings of field application and conveyance efficiencies, water delivery performances, irrigation schedule, crop pattern, management, water delivery, irrigation ratios and water charges. Optimum crop pattern of the project area was determined by QSB programme, and irrigation management was evaluated by CROPWAT programme. DASI programme was used for economic analysis of the project area.
