Investigations on Reproduction Biology of Mesocricetus brandti (Nehring, 1898) (Mammalia: Rodentia) in Turkey

Abstract

In this study, reproduction biology of Mesocricetus brandti was investigated based on field and laboratory observations. It was determined that the duration of pregnancy lasted at 14-15th days, the avarage of birth weight is 2.6 g, young opened their eyes at 14-15th days and weaned at 30-40th days, reproduction of this species takes place from late March to mid of summer.
