Abstract
This report describes the inflammation caused by Capillaria hepatica in the liver of a female stray dog of approximately 2 months old for the first time in Turkey. Histopathological examination revealed severe granulomatous hepatitis with occasional adult nematodes and abundant eggs in the hepatic parenchyma. The present case differs from the other capillariasis cases by the age of the dog and the presence of mature female parasites and severe inflammation.
