A Study on the Reproduction Biology of Chub (Leuciscus cephalus) in Tozanlı Stream (Almus-Tokat)

Abstract

This study was carried out on the reproduction of Chub (Leuciscus cephalus) in Tozanlı stream. Maturity age of the Chub was determined to be mainly the 2 and 3 age groups. Spawing began at the beginning of the late April and ended in June. The number of eggs were ranged from 3749 to 26448.
