Abstract
Autopsies were performed on two sows that had died on a farm in Istanbul. Postmortem and bacteriological findings were recorded. On postmortem examination, abscesses were seen in the lung and pleural cavity. Actinomyces pyogenes was isolated and identified from the lung and abcesses of a sow after bacteriological culturing. The patogenicity of the agent was investigated and antibiotic sensitivity testing was performed.
