Abstract
To present 8 patients with polyradiculopathy or polyradiculoneuritis caused by brucellosis. Polyradiculopathy or polyradiculoneuritis are occasional neurological involvements of brucellosis. Materials and methods: The diagnosis was made with clinical, serological and/or cerebrospinal fluid, and electromyographic examinations. Results: All of the patients except one improved quickly after specific antimicrobial treatment. Furthermore, electrophysiological examinations revealed normal findings in 6 patients. Conclusion: This clinical form of brucellosis is mostly reversible if it is diagnosed earlier and treated effectively.
