Calculations of Isosteric Heats of Adsorption of Neon and Hydrogen Adsorbed on Charcoal in the Temperature Range 22 K to 90 K
Abstract
The isosteric heats of adsorption Q_{st} of neon and hydrogen gases adsorbed on Fisher activated cocoanut charcoal in the temperature range 22 K to 90 K have been calculated with the Clapeyron equation. These isosteric heats of adsorption Q_{st}, which were calculated at various temperatures and coverages, showed a marked dependence on coverage, Q_{st} decreasing rapidly with increasing coverage.
