The IBM-1 Study for ^{170-174}Yb Isotopes

Abstract

The electromagnetic properties of even-even ^{170-174}Yb isotopes with neutron number 100 \leq N \leq 104 are studied within the framework of the first version of the interacting Boson Model (IBM-1). The B(E2) and Q(2^+) values of the above nuclei are calculated. Numerical results for {\ }^{170-174}Yb are compared with previous experimental and theoretical values.
