Structure Diffusion Model Calculation of the Structure Factor and Pair Distribution Function for Amorphous Carbon
Abstract
We have \: used the Structural \: Diffusion \: Model (SDM)[1-2], to \: calculate the \:\:\:\:\:\: structure factor, S(k) and the pair distribution function, g(r), of amorphous system whose parent crystallographic structure is diamond; namely, tetrahedral carbon. With the choice of local lattice structure made in this work, the agreement between the calculated and experimantal S(k) and g(r) [3] is reasonably good.
