Photoluminescence in the Solid Solutions of TlIn_{1-x} Gd_x S_2.

Abstract

The luminescence spectra, photo and electroconductivity were investigated in layer TlIn_{1-x} Gd_x S_2 mixed system. Observed luminescence bands were assigned according to band gap and donor-acceptor recombination. Mechanism of substitution of In^{3+} ions by Gd^{3+} ions in the recombination processes is also discussed.
