Electrification and Electret Properties of Polymer Mixtures

Abstract
Electret properties and the process of electrification of polymeric mixtures PP/PEVP, PP/PENP, PP/PTFE, PP/SKEPT under the effect of corona discharge have been studied. The PP/SKEPT mixture possesses good electret properties (\sigma\sim(3 \div 4)\cdot 10^{-4} C/m^{2}). At a certain ratio PP/PTFE the components mixture is antistatic. Instrusion of PE into PP leads to deterioration of electret properties. The main explanation for the changing ability of electrification and electret properties of two- component polymeric systems might be their structural compatibility and the process of phase photodelamination of components.
