Abstract

The results of the experimental investigations of various modifications of the intense plasma source of ions-duoplasmatron and the high brightness liquid metal source are given. The electrophysical parameters of the devices and the mechanisms of processes which occur in them including the ion beam formation task are described in detail. The potential for further study of sources and for their applications are considered.
