Abstract

The structure of a novel piperidine type alkaloid from {\it Cyclamen coum} was established as 2-\beta-D-glycopyranosyl-2-undecil-3,5-dihydroxy-6-carboxypiperidine, {\bf 1,} whose structure has been deduced from spectral data.
