Detection of Man-made Structuures around Ömerli Dam through A New Approach in Image Enhancement

Abstract

This paper introduces a new image enhancement technique based on partial/full substitution of edge information existent in satellite imagery with the contrast information in the intensity /hue/saturation domain. Using this technique, the man-made structures around Ömerli dam, İstanbul, Turkey were enhanced for better visual interpretation.
