Abstract
Allium shirnakiense L.Behçet & Rüstemoğlu sp. nova (sect. Melanocrommyum Webb & Berth.) is described as a species new to science on the basis of material collected from Şırnak Province. Morphologically, it is related to A. rhetoreanum Nab., which is an species endemic to South-eastern Turkey. A diagnosis, a taxonomic description, and some illustrations are given.
