Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the flora of the area between Üzümlü and Sakaltutan (Erzincan-Gümüşhane). In this research, conducted between 2001 and 2006, 5210 plant specimens were collected from the research area, and 960 taxa (at specific and intraspecific ranks) belonging to 344 genera and 73 families were reported. The large families are Asteraceae (152 taxa), Brassicaceae (78 taxa), Fabaceae (73 taxa), Caryophyllaceae (64 taxa), and Lamiaceae (62 taxa). The large genera are Astragalus L. (30), Silene L. (27), Allium L. (18), Tanacetum L. (14), Centaurea L. (13), and Alchemilla L. (13). The number of endemic taxa is 211 and the endemism rate is 21.95%. The distribution of phytogeographical elements is Irano-Turanian 327 (34.02%), Euro-Siberian 65 (6.76%), and Mediterranean 22 (2.28%) taxa, while 569 (59.2%) are multiregional or unknown. In addition, 151 taxa were defined as new records for the B7 square.
