Abstract
The pollen morphology of eight species belonging to two genera, i.e., Boerhavia L., and Commicarpus Standley, of the family Nyctaginaceae, was studied by light microscope and scanning microscope. The family has uniform pollen characters. Pollen grains mostly spheroidal, pantoporate, ± circular, pores small or large, non-operculate, pore plate ± scabrate-spinulose. Tectum tubuliferous spinulose.
