Abstract
This study was undertaken to obtain uricase enzyme from Aspergillus niger and also to determine the production conditions and the effects of some factors on enzyme activity. The results of the experiments, in consideration of the production of the uricase enzyme and the factors affecting the production, demonstrated that enzyme activity was maximum when the production time was 3 days at a temperature of 30ºC with the initial pH at 6.0 and inductor concentration at 0.1%. It was determined that ammonium compounds, which were added to the production medium, inhibited enzyme synthesis, and that MgS0_4 has an important role in enzyme synthesis. These results revealed that A. niger may be a benefical source of uricase enzyme.
