Abstract: The effects of polystimuline-K (PS-K) on photosynthetic functions in greening maize seedlings under chloride salinity was investigated. Saline stress was shown to lead to an acceleretaion of long-wave fluorescence formation, which indicates development of chlorophyll (Ch) aggregated forms, which are photosystem I (PS I) components. PS I formation is believed to be more resistant to saline activity than photosystem II (PS II). This is confirmed by pigment content changes in the formation of photosynthetic membrane under the influence saline stress. It is possible that saline activity initially pigmente assembly light-complexes, complicating the granae formation processes and in turn disturbing photosystems formation and cooperation, which is confirmed by data obtained on delayed light emission (DLE). It was shown that the presence of PS-K in the saline medium provides favorable conditions for normal formation of both photosystems, probably because of PS-K protective action in relation to photosynthetic membrane damaging agents. It is probable also that the presence of PS-K arouses the adaptive possibilities of greening seedlings.
