Abstract: The activities of catalase glutathione peroxidase, glutathione S-transferase and malondialdehyde levels were determined in liver extracts from five species of fish. The activities of the enzymes and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels showed significant differences between marine and freshwater fish. Differences were also seen among the marine fish.
