Isospin Impurity and d + d \to {}^4He + \pi^{0} Reaction

Abstract: The reaction d + d \to ^{4}He + \pi^{0} which is forbidden by isospin conservation provides a reliable test for charge symmetry N--N interaction. The effect of T=1 impurity in the ground state of alpha particle on driving of this reaction is examined, and its contribution on forward differential cross--section d\sigma/d\omega is estimated to be at most 15 percent of total differential cross--section at a deuteron laboratory energy of 1.95 GeV.
